Jacques Flori
Jacques Flori has never been one to follow a straight path, which is probably why his fragrances never do either. Born in France with an early interest in medicine, he swapped textbooks for sails and set off chasing the sea. But somewhere between yachts and horizons, he fell head over heels for perfume. And once he did, he never looked back.
His real journey began when Jean Mober, founder of the legendary Robertet house, took him under his wing. With Mober as mentor, Jacques learned the craft the old-school way, through patience, precision, and plenty of trial and error. He grew into a perfumer with a distinct signature: rich, textured, often smoky compositions that linger like a good story. Over the years, Jacques has worked with some of the most respected names in fragrance: Amouage, Etro, Parfums de Marly, Xerjoff, Jovoy, Reminiscence, and more. He’s the nose behind beloved creations like Bouquet Idéal (Xerjoff), Psychedelique and La Liturgie des Heures (Jovoy), Ivoire (Balmain), and Opus IV (Amouage). If you’ve ever fallen for a beautifully built incense note, chances are Jacques was involved.
