Sidonie Lancesseur, a master perfumer, discovered her calling in the scents wafting through the French countryside during her idyllic childhood vacations. Her passion for perfume ignited at 12, spurred by a serendipitous meeting with a family friend entrenched in the aromatic arts. This encounter steered her toward the prestigious halls of ISIPCA, France's revered perfume and cosmetic studies institute. Upon graduating, Lancesseur joined the esteemed fragrance house Robertet, where she apprenticed under the legendary Michel Almairac. His mentorship and her innate talent propelled her collaborations with luxury brands such as Atelier Oblique, Azzaro, Bentley, and By Kilian, where she became known for her signature, nature-infused compositions.
Lancesseur's approach to perfumery is deeply personal, exploring and exposing memories and emotions in each fragrance. Her preference for simple, elegant, poignant blends is an inheritance of her mentor's influence, highlighting a style that favors quality over quantity. With a fondness for woody notes, like patchouli and vetiver, she captures nature's tranquility, inviting wearers to a sensory retreat into her youth's lush, verdant landscapes.
INSPIRATION IN SIMPLE BEAUTY
Sidonie’s appreciation for simple beauty is evident in every composition. Her first olfactory memory is a chimney fire smoldering in her grandfather’s country house. She equally loves the smell of books, countryside twilights, and oceanic winds.
